Geoff Meyerson
CEO and Co-Founder
Geoff Meyerson is CEO and Co-founder of Locust Walk. He brings a track record of success in investment banking, venture capital and licensing where he has closed >60 transactions of all varieties including playing a role in a majority of Locust Walk’s closed transactions.
Prior to Locust Walk, Geoff worked in business development at a venture-backed biotech company, in venture capital at SR One, in business development at MedImmune, and investment banking in UBS’ Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group.
He holds an MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School, a Masters in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Economics from Duke University.
Geoff founded and is the President of an exclusive relationship building non-profit organization called BioBreak. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization New England Chapter and is on the Board of Overseers for Beth Israel Lahey Health. Geoff has also served on the board of the Wharton Health Care Management Alumni Association. He was named by Wharton Magazine and the Philadelphia Business Journal to their 40 Under 40 list for 2017 and 2010, respectively.
He is a registered rep with FINRA holding his Series 79, 63, 24, 86, and 87 licenses.
Amy Brodsky
Chief Operating Officer
Amy Brodsky is Locust Walk’s Chief Operating Officer and was previously the CEO and Founder of Sky Partners, a performance coaching, facilitation, and consulting firm. Amy specializes in complex human dynamics of high profile and high net worth clients.
Amy was also an executive leadership coach at MIT Sloan School of Management and has been a guest speaker on CNN where she discussed topics including: anti-harassment policies, coaching and engagement best practices.
Prior to founding her firm, Amy held executive roles at J.P. Morgan, Union Bank of Switzerland and PIMCO. Amy has 30 years of experience in leadership, transformational change, negotiation and executive coaching across sectors. She has led client engagements ranging from large-scale mergers and acquisitions, organizational change, and cultural integrations.
Amy received her Bachelors from the University of New Hampshire, her J.D. from New York Law School, and she also holds a Columbia Executive Coaching Certification. When not working Amy enjoys sailing, hiking, and biking.
Andy Meyerson
Managing Director
Andy brings to Locust Walk experience across the life sciences industry, including an extensive legal background working with emerging growth companies and venture capital funds. While with Locust Walk, he has worked on buy-side, sell-side, capital markets, IPO advisory, and consulting services engagements for numerous life sciences clients.
Prior to joining Locust Walk, Andy was an associate at Gunderson Dettmer, one of the nation’s leading business law firms for entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies and venture capitalists. Andy’s legal practice encompassed all areas of general corporate and securities law, with extensive experience in corporate financings, including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt, and mergers and acquisitions. Andy also represented life sciences companies in all stages of their life cycles, from start-ups to public companies. Andy was also previously an associate in the Corporate and Financial Services group at Willkie Farr & Gallagher and in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Credit Suisse.
Andy holds an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business, a JD from New York University School of Law and a BSE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and New York.
He is a FINRA registered representative and holds his Series 79 and 63 licenses.
Hiroshi Yamamoto
Managing Director
Mr. Yamamoto has more than 15 years of business management expertise in pharmaceutical companies in Pan-Asia.
Previously, Mr. Yamamoto worked at SanBio as Corporate Officer, where he was in charge of expanding regenerative medicine in Japan and Asia. Prior to SanBio, he was Managing Director of Santen Asia and Vice President of Santen China, where he managed the launch and business operations in the ASEAN region and in China.
Mr. Yamamoto started his career at Eisai Co., Ltd., and AbbVie Inc., where he led Japan sales and Asian business development activities.
Mr. Yamamoto holds a degree in chemical engineering from Doshisha University and an MBA from the National University of Singapore.
Outside of work, Mr. Yamamoto enjoys traveling all over the world for wine collection and watching football.
Daniel Brog
Senior Vice President
Daniel brings broad life sciences experience across corporate development and strategy, financing, and company building to Locust Walk. With the firm, he has worked on private financing, sell-side, buy-side, IPO advisory, and strategy consulting engagements for life sciences clients as well as company creation for Locust Walk Founded companies. Daniel brings deep experience in oncology/immunology, neurology, and regenerative medicine therapeutic areas with a special focus on advanced modalities including gene and cell therapies.
Prior to Locust Walk, Daniel was a team leader at Health Advances, a global healthcare management and strategy consulting firm, where he led projects with biopharmaceutical, medical technology, and private equity clients. His work encompassed multiple strategy engagement types across a range of companies from startups to large biopharma, with significant functional experience in portfolio and transaction strategy, asset and M&A due diligence, and asset forecasting, and valuation.
Daniel holds an MS in Biotechnology and a BS in Biology and Business from Brandeis University. He enjoys skiing, hiking, cooking, and weightlifting in his free time and co-organizes an LGBTQ beer club in Boston.

Rene Veloso
Senior Vice President
Rene brings over 20 years experience in US and international life sciences M&A, strategy and venture capital at both publicly listed and private equity backed companies. As a venture investor at Ivy Capital Partners, he participated in $200M of financings and successfully exited 4 portfolio investments via strategic sales. Rene worked at Integra LifeSciences as Senior Director of Corporate Development where he led both buyside M&A and licensing deals. Prior to joining Locust Walk, he also held roles at Merrill Lynch Healthcare Investment Banking, Monitor Group and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Rene has extensive domain expertise in orthopedics, regenerative medicine, behavioral health, and oncology.
Rene holds a MBA from the Ross School of Business, a JD from the Pritzker School of Law, and a BA with Honors from Washington University in St. Louis. In his free time, he enjoys riding Peloton, attending original theater productions, and hosting dinners with friends, family and his labradoodle Murphy.
